Country Stores of Vermont, a two-sided poster covered with artwork, written histories, and testimonials, was a collaboration between the artist, country storekeepers, and preservationists to make a statement about the value of country stores in today's culture. The posters were introduced to the people of America by former Governor Howard Dean on the steps of the Florence Cilley General Store (President Calvin Coolidge National Historic Site.) The posters are in the collections of many public and school libraries in Vermont, in highway visitor stops, restaurants, and inns. Like Historic Bucks County, Country Stores of Vermont is in the permanent print collection of the Library of Congress.
