First Boat Through Caribou Narrows

First Boat Through Caribou Narrows

15 3/4" x 11 3/4"
Limited Edition Prints
Edition of 250
Signed and numbered

The original watercolor painting was created "plein air" in a canoe on a pond in the Maine wilderness and limited edition prints were published from the painting. They are used to raise funds for the Maine Wilderness Watershed Trust.

Morning on Pierce Pond always holds a mystery. Today a lingering fog hangs in shrouds as an old boat pokes its way through the rocks above Caribou Narrows with anticipation of a rising trout or a cruising salmon somewhere here ahead. The still waters capture the reflections of the sentinel pines which guard this special place.
